dc.description.abstractReal state investment as an alternate income source is a most-see option when the time comes to choose between different investment options. In a city like Cartagena de India, the social configuration has made the Real-State sector develop a dynamic the many has categorized as “Unique”. This is the reason that has given the opportunity to take a relatively modest topic like this to become the center of this study, where a construction project, under the medium-income families context can be clearly considered as a good source of, not only money, but also residential units and precious jobs. This topic is brought to life by the construction boom seen over the past five years in the city. This event has had an impact over the high income sectors having 90% of the new constructions, while low and medium income sectors has seen almost zero investment in the same period o of time. For that reason is that the reader is invited to explore a construction project intended for this part of the society based on the future rent of the units so that an alternate source of income can be established in a society that has limited access to the bank sector due to the lack of trust and information. Based on this problem, a simulation of a series of different scenarios, plus a large secondhad information compendium, are the main objective of the study where a construction project is proposed according to the needs of the low income target community. The results are then analyzed from a practical point of view, where the first bases for more deep investigations are established so that the results are confirmed and carried on to real life projects.eng
