Resumen en español
The manual transportation of medium loads in university environments, such as laboratories and workspaces, poses significant challenges, including inefficiencies and potential physical risks to users. To address this problem, this project proposes the design and development of an Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) capable of safely transporting medium loads. The robot integrates advanced technologies, such as brushless motors, vision systems, ultrasonic sensors, and load cells, all controlled by a Raspberry Pi and ESP32-S3, to ensure autonomous operation and load management. The robot was designed to meet specific requirements, including the ability to transport loads of up to 100 kg with a minimum autonomy of 60 minutes under full load. Additionally, it dynamically detects obstacles using ultrasonic sensors while maintaining a safe operating distance of 50 cm. An intuitive and accessible Human-Machine Interface (HMI) was developed using a web-based platform, allowing users to remotely monitor and control the robot. The design also adheres to international safety and environmental standards, ensuring a robust and sustainable solution.
