Abstract
El presente ensayo tiene como propósito una aproximación a las concepciones de la justicia distributiva en dos economistas contemporáneos: Amartya Sen y Philippe Van Parijs. Para tal fin, se aborda de forma transversal la noción de las capacidades que Martha Nussbaum presenta en su libro “los límites de la justicia”. Este abordaje
permite trazar un hilo conductor para la comprensión de las concepciones de libertad y de justicia de Sen y Van Parijs. A partir de estas aproximaciones conceptuales, se sostendrá que, en todos los casos las condiciones materiales son indispensables para
el ejercicio de la libertad humana
The purpose of this essay is to approach the conceptions of distributive justice in two contemporary economists: Amartya Sen and Philippe Van Parijs. To this end, the notion of capabilities that Martha Nussbaum presents in her book “the limits of justice” is addressed transversally. This approach allows us to trace a common thread for understanding Sen and Van Parijs’ conceptions of freedom and justice. From these conceptual approaches, it will be argued that, in all cases, material conditions are indispensable for the exercise of human freedom.
