| person.description | I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, and a member of the Structures and Geotechnics Research Group (GIEG). I hold a Master’s and Ph.D. with a focus on Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. My research areas include performance-based seismic analysis, nonlinear modeling of reinforced concrete frame structures with masonry infill walls, confined masonry, and learning from extreme events through post-earthquake reconnaissance missions. | |
